1. What Data We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use UrTour:
Account Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile photo (optional)
Tour Operator Information
If you register as a tour operator, we additionally collect:
- Passport or national ID (for identity verification)
- Business registration details
- Bank account or payout information
Booking & Payment Information
- Booking history and preferences
- Payment information (processed and stored securely by our payment partner β see Section 4)
Automatically Collected Data
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type and device information
- Pages visited and actions taken on the platform

2. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing our services: Processing bookings, facilitating payments, and connecting you with tour operators.
- Account management: Creating and maintaining your account, verifying your identity, and communicating with you.
- Platform improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to improve the platform, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Safety and security: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Communications: Sending booking confirmations, updates, and important service announcements. We may also send promotional emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
- Legal compliance: Fulfilling our legal obligations and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- With tour operators: When you make a booking, we share your name, contact information, and booking details with the tour operator so they can fulfill your reservation.
- With payment processors: Payment data is shared with Lemon Squeezy to process transactions securely (see Section 4).
- With service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., hosting, analytics, email delivery), under strict data processing agreements.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of UrTour and its users.
4. Payment Data
All payment processing on UrTour is handled by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment processor.
- UrTour does not directly store your full credit card numbers or banking details.
- Lemon Squeezy processes and stores your payment information in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
- Payments are held in an escrow-style arrangement for 24β48 hours after tour completion before being released to tour operators.

5. Cookies & Tracking
UrTour uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience:
- Essential cookies: Required for the platform to function properly (e.g., keeping you logged in, remembering your language preference).
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it.
- Marketing cookies: Used to show relevant advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness. These are optional and you can opt out.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect your experience on the platform.
6. Message Monitoring
Messages exchanged between users on the UrTour platform may be monitored for safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes. We do this to:
- Protect users from scams, harassment, or inappropriate content.
- Provide evidence in case of disputes between travelers and operators.
- Ensure compliance with our Terms of Service.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:
- Active accounts: Data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- After account deletion: We may retain certain data for up to 30 days for backup and recovery purposes, and longer if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.
- Booking records: Transaction and booking records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal purposes.
- Anonymized data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely for analytics and platform improvement.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
- Correction: You can update or correct your personal information through your account settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion: You can request that we delete your account and personal data. Some data may be retained as described in Section 7.
- Data export: You can request an export of your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Opt out: You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or updating your notification preferences.
- Restrict processing: You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

9. Children's Privacy
UrTour is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.
Users must be at least 18 years of age to register as a tour operator on the platform.
10. International Data Transfers
UrTour operates from Thailand, and your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of UrTour after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
